Brian Williamson spoke at the ECTA Regulatory Conference

Brian Williamson spoke at the ECTA Regulatory Conference in Brussels on the Review of the Recommendation of Relevant Markets and future issues in relation to regulation.  The presentation proposed that the focus of sector-specific regulation should be broadband access, that any issues in relation to applications including voice should be addressed via general consumer and competition law and that removing barriers to transition should be a central focus, in particular copper to fibre, passive to active access and switched to ‘all IP’ networks.
